Default So i scammed some guy... is it really my fault?

Is it a scammers fault if they steal from the intelligent?
So i tell this guy if he rushes me to kryta from post ascalon i will give him 200k. He believes it and as were going through the mission after the northern wall one, he finds black dye, so i tell him as soon as we get to stash in kryta i will give him 250k if he gives me black dye now.

So 8 hours goes by, i had nothing else too do. I just had a operation and cant leave the house even to go to work for a month. So 8 hours goes by and the rush is over. We get to my stash and i tell him i have some good news and some bad news. Bad news is i dont have the 200k, good news is i just saved a bunch of money on my caw insurance.

He gets mad and says hes gonna kill every one in his family and commit suicide so i leave any way.

Is this really my fault if they idiot didnt ask for money through each mission?

Yes it's your fault completely. If somebody trusts you, you shouldn't laugh at them for being idiots, or else you'll never make friends because trust is rather important... even in online gaming. 200k is absurd, he wasn't very smart, but it is in no way his fault.

Jokes on you, I save a lot of money by switching to Gecko.

He thought that when you first say you were going to pay him 200k, he took the deal and never borther to ask if you are really going to pay for it. I think its his fault for thinking that you will pay for the mission. But you scam him good.

200k??? i need to start running :S.

to be frank, its peoples fault if they dont take the necessary precautions....
a guildmate is an iW-eer and sold his starter sword to some warrior for abour 10k or something stupid, when the warrior in question saw him take down about two mobs.
the conversation was apparantly this:

*mob is owned*
Wa: OMG HOW YOU DO TAHT?/??////
me: my sword is 1337
wa; I bUy ja?
me: 10k
wa: lemme see...
*shows sword of 2-3 damage, no modifiers*
wa: looks a bit rubbish
me:.................................its bugged ^-^
wa: ok..... *pays*

good god.... i mean how stupid can people get?

wow i Agree you both are at fault

this is quite humorous, because the guy you scammed is over on the gamefaqs forums complaining as we speak.

So for the people who think he is making it up....nope

while i dont condone your actions, i do wonder what happened to your victims common sense

That should read "good god.....i mean how stupid can I behave".

Whether the original poster is being truthful or not, both YOU and he have serious character flaws to go stealing/duping people...in real life it's sad but in a game???????
Both sides are at fault, the duped for truly being that gullable and most definitely the lying thief.

Ex: I leave my house unlocked and a thief comes in and helps himself. My fault for leaving the door unlocked but the thief was a piece of crap person long before the moment I forgot to lock my door. I'll blame myself for my action but my action didn't cause dikhead to be a thief...etc etc.

troll

Join date and lack of posts (and content of few posts made) prove this.

I sincerely hope you get banned for life. That is the most rotten thing ive ever heard anyone do on an online game. You are a fat prick, and you deserve to die a most painful death.

Please let this thread drop, I realize that I'm bumping it but it's at the top so it doesn't hurt anything.

He knew what people would post, he's looking for attention.

This story sounds pretty much fake. I don't think there is someone that stupid to run someone from Ascalon City all the way to Kryta for 8hrs. I can't even play Guild Wars for more than 2hrs straight. After that, I get pretty bored and my ass and back aches from all that sitting.

this game is made so everyone can get everything easy to get. if you have to scam people and take you 8 hours to get to kryta then you probly shouldn't be playing it.

only change that i would implement in this game is mods sitting in towns banning people for trying to sell althena's ashes. if reports like this keep showing don't think it won't happen. if it does i'm applying for the position. sure i'll sit in a town for 8-10 hours a day at home on my comp. how much is the pay per hour?

Wow.

Yeah, to the OP, you're a dick. Typically when I run someone to a town or something I ask for the money upfront, but a lot of times they don't believe me so they say no. So I'll run 'em anyways, and usually they pay up. It's a matter of trust, and you took advantage of the trust he put in you to pay him the amount of money you said you would. Also you stole a black dye from him.

I hope you get banned.

In fact I hope you get your car towed as well.
